I realize most, but not all of the torrents I have been unsuccessfully trying to load are from mdshrk1. I have only done this random selection with about torrents and that is the pattern, and one exception, that i see.

I had this issue with a NTFS partition, but worked fine on ext4. My system is in ext4. I don't think this is the problem.
